Test results of conveyor rollers at MATLA COAL LIMITED supplied by MEC [PTY] LTD.

Idler rollers were monitored and inspected every month for wear of failure.

Idler rollers were removed on March 2000 to be stripped and checked.

Findings:

1.    Wear on shell was measured to be 0,04mm.

2.    Ball bearings good condition.

3.    Grease composure still good.

4.    No signs of corrosion

5.    Noise level throughout test period, found to be very low.

Conclusion:

General.  Good all over performance, abrasion on special PVC shell was minimal.

Handling friendly ie, [safety] due to light weight of rollers.
